General Teaching Assistant – 27hrs

 

Salary: Grade C SCP 2 – 4

 

Actual salary: £14,023.53 to £14,492.53  

 

Full Time Equivalent: £22,366.00 to £23,114.00pa

 

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours of Work: 27 hours per week

Start Date: Monday 4th November 2024

End Date:  N/A

Closing Date: 27th September 2024  

Interview Date: Thursday 3rd October 2024  

Higher Level Teaching Assistant – 5 hrs

 

Salary: Grade F SCP 8 - 13

 

Actual salary: £2868.19 to £3120.26  

 

Full Time Equivalent: £24,702.00 to £26,873.00pa

 

Contract Type: Fixed term initially -  reviewed annually

Hours of Work: 5 hours per week

Start Date: Monday 4th November 2024

End Date: 31st August 2025

Closing Date: 27th September 2024

Sowerby Primary Academy is a welcoming and happy school where we strive to ‘Grow Courageous Learners’.  As part of Elevate Multi Academy Trust, we are seeking to employ a General Teaching Assistant, who will be required to work in KS1 to join our committed team. In addition, the ideal candidates would have Level 3 qualifications that would enable them to undertake PPA and short-term class cover for the teacher.  

We are looking for a candidate who is:

  • passionate about education and inspiring children
  • able to take pride in making a difference to young people's wellbeing
  • Demonstrate a patient approach and the ability to inspire and motivate
  • Experienced, using positive behaviour tools in a work capacity.
  • Have a great sense of humour and resilience and enjoy working as part of a team.
